Over the years, I’ve been a little bit frustrated with what I see as less than ethical behavior from online coaches. You see, I note that there are many folks who call themselves coaches, but have never achieved anything in their lives. But suddenly they claim to be some sort of expert, and are trying to snow the public into believing they should be paid a lot of money for the nonsense they hold as secrets to a particular industry. Now then I’d like to talk about this for second if I might.
You see, a real coach is quite choosy with the clients they take. They don’t just take anyone, or do a mass amount of online marketing trying to sucker in every Internet surfer or every user of Facebook. The way I see it is that when someone is trying to use that style of marketing online, chances are they are very new to coaching, or they are just looking for folks who aren’t that bright, but have a lot of money to waste. In other words, they are looking for suckers who don’t understand what coaching is, but somehow think that someone out there online is going to solve all their problems and give them all the secrets to getting rich.
In that case, perhaps the only one getting rich during that transaction will be the actual person claiming to be some guru in some industry ready to coach their clients, yes, they will coach them all right, they will coach them right out of their money. How do I know that real coaches and consultants are very particular with whom they take on as clients? Because I am, and I know from experience that you can’t coach someone who is uncoachable, or doesn’t truly want to do what it takes to learn. You can’t coach someone who just wants to make a lot of money really quick without putting in what it takes to make it work.
Just as you cannot create an Olympic athlete out of someone who will not put in the hard work and training, and dedication it takes to make it. Anyone that promises someone they can become an Olympic athlete without changing their diet, training 6 to 10 hours per day, and dedicating their entire life to the process is full of it. What I don’t understand is why so many people fall for this get rich quick coaching scheme, or why so many less-than-ethical online marketers are attempting to promote such schemes. All I can say is one thing;
Buyer Beware!
